Erica F. Bisson, MD, is a Professor of Neurosurgery and an Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedics. Dr. Bisson is a fellow of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is the Chair of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Section on disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. Dr. Bisson has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and serves as principal investigator on several national and international multicenter trials. She continues to work collaboratively on research with faculty in Neuroradiology and Exercise and Sports Medicine at the University of Utah as well as Neurosurgery Spine faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She serves in many national neurosurgical organizations, including being a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Neurosurgery.

Dr. Bisson specializes in complex spine surgery with a focus on neck pain, using both novel artificial disc and fusion technology. She also treats patients with spinal cord injury, spine trauma, and degenerative spinal conditions (neck and back pain). Dr. Bisson's professional interests include occipitocervical disease, cervical degenerative disorders, advanced spinal fusion techniques, and image-guided surgery.
